8.1.08 Foster Care Employees/Parent Recruitment Evening

The Children's Study Home will host an evening to recruit foster care parents, foster care employees, on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. The recruitment will take place at The Children's Study Home, 44 Sherman Street , Springfield , MA. Dinner will be served to those attending.

The Children's Study Home is looking for individuals to serve as foster parents for teens ages 12 to 18 that are confronting a number of challenges relating to past histories, and that have behavioral and emotional needs. These adolescents are in need of an emotionally secure setting and caring support to nurture their growth. Foster care helps address the conflicts they confront and assists them in developing a solid foundation for successful living.

Specialized training is provided for those wishing to become foster parents as well as the fact that they are continually supported through a team consisting of a professional case manager and program staff. Various reimbursement methods are offered.

The recruitment evening will provide an overview of the positions available, and an overview on the training and reimbursement options. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
